Somehow I lucked out with my first two girls in the sense that they never were very destructive. I often let them play with my porcelain tea party sets I had from when I was little and I knew that they wouldn’t break them. Then we had our third daughter. I could tell from the time she was in my womb that if any kid would burn down our house it would be her! She has turned out to be the sweetest most adorable little girl ever, but I definitely don’t trust her and crayons to be together within five feet of any walls. That being said, as hard as I try, her crayons and walls at times do in fact have a party. Gratefully, when that happens I have the “Magic Crayon Eraser” hack!
So this is actually a super simple and short tutorial.
Step 1: Grab a clean white eraser and go to the site of the toddler graffiti art
Step 2: Start gently erasing the crayon. Try to stay on the crayon as much as possible and off the paint. The windowsill in the photos is oil based paint and doesn’t rub off easily, but on a wall I would be super careful not to rub the paint off.
Step 3: Continue erasing till you have gotten off the crayon. Then wipe up the eraser crumbs and you’re done!
I have used this hack on wood, tile floors, desks, kitchen table and chairs, windows, fabric, walls and doors. I hope this helps!
